Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I’m from Michigan, and this is my #1 favorite sushi spot. This is my second time coming back after a couple of years, and once again it did not disappoint. The service was very friendly, and everything tasted amazing. The Dragon Roll and Firecracker Roll (pictured) were fantastic, and the spring roll was great as well. Highly recommend!

Service was great and quick, however the sushi left something to be desired. We ordered the slow burn and it was not at all spicy, and the shogun which supposedly contained mango but was pretty tasteless and we certainly could not detect the mango.

I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately the food let us down. We are sushi lovers and I had seen people try their ramen challenge online. Ordered bulgogi, pork gyoza, tuna roll, and a dried gourd roll, red snapper sashimi piece, and flounder sashimi piece. Bulgogi was pretty flavorless even though I asked for 6 out of 7 on spice, I felt the portion was smaller than I was expecting for the price. The quality of the fish in the sushi was honestly the highlight of the meal, but sadly both pieces of my sashimi had multiple pin bones in them. Shame too because the fish tasted very sweet and fresh. I was happy to let the server know and he was very fast to get me another piece of the flounder sashimi, but this piece had more bones in it than the first. Service was great and the chef was accommodating, but the food was expensive for the portions and disappointing. Really wanted to love this place since I love close.
