Beeside Balcony in Del Mar delivered such a memorable 3‑course dinner. We started with the Greek salad and the deep‑fried salmon ball, and both were excellent—the salad was bright, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, and the salmon ball was crispy on the outside with tender, flavorful salmon inside. For mains, the steak and fries were a standout. The steak was cooked exactly right, juicy and well‑seasoned, and the fries were crisp without being greasy. The lamb entrée was equally impressive—rich, tender, and beautifully balanced with its sides. It could have been a little bit more flavorful and had better sides, but delicious. Dessert sealed the night. The churros were warm, crisp, and coated in just the right amount of sugar, and the s’mores cake was indulgent without being overly sweet, with that perfect toasted marshmallow flavor. Between the food, the cozy balcony atmosphere, and the friendly service, Beeside Balcony is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit.

Outdoor seating with heaters and blankets provided. Dress warm for the Winter! Came for the view of the Pacific Ocean from this rooftop outdoor dining. Partial views of the ocean from across the street and between buildings. I had a Greek salad with cubes of grilled lamb for $28. The lamb was well-done. No pita bread. My husband had a cheese burger on a brioche bun. Bacon, FF or side salad is extra. My husband asked for well-done, but it was very pink in the thick center of the beef patty. Server was friendly, accommodating and got all our food orders correctly.

Happy hour so good you don’t even need a drink (but they’re all under $10 if you do)!! Treated myself to a dozen of their fresh, sweet, raw oysters on the half shell, followed by their grilled Côte D’Azur oysters and some crispy rosemary fries. Just a short walk from the water, which you can catch some gorgeous views of on the balcony.
