I've been told many times to try Bellflower and tonight was finally the night! Everyone was friendly and our server was amazing! The food was flavorful and delicious. We loved the tinned fish appetizer. The combination of bread with fish was delicious. We also got a few orders of oysters and shrimp. All the seafood was super fresh. I loved the seashell pasta dish. Dave makes the best fresh pasta! The Chowder was also amazing. The shrimp was perfectly tender and the roasted vegetables were a great addition. Loved our meal! Can't wait to come back!

This was our first time dining at Bellflower in Ypsilanti, and it more than lived up to its stellar reputation. I enjoyed a fantastic plate of pork chops with crispy sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables—comforting, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My daughter ordered the crispy whole cornmeal trout with milk bread stuffing, topped with a sunny side up duck egg. The dish was both surprising and delicious, and a highlight of the night. We started with a selection of East and West Coast oysters—fresh, briny, and expertly shucked—and ended with their warm, rich bread pudding with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Every course felt thoughtful and impressively executed. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Even on a freezing night, the outdoor patio was surprisingly pleasant. The food was so good we decided to take two Turkey gumbo‘s to go to enjoy later. For a first visit, Bellflower left a great impression. We’ll definitely be back.

Great little restaurant! We were driving through the area and stopped for lunch. We were unsure of how fancy we should be dressed, based on reviews, but while the food itself was pretty fancy, it was a fairly informal lunch counter. We did not feel out-of-place in our traveling clothes. I'm sure dinner could be beautifully high-class, however, in such a setting. The outside of the restaurant did not look like much, but the inside was very contemporary. The seating areas were very cute, especially the outdoor patio. I had the daily special "Purple Haze," and it was delicious! Such a great pairing of flavors, and their milk bread is delicious! My companions liked their sandwiches and salad too. We came around 1 pm and ordered and ate in about an hour.
