Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This restaurant has been a favorite of my family’s for the past decade. It’s always clean, the food has never disappointed, and, perhaps most importantly, the service is always outstanding. The conversation is always friendly and easygoing, our orders are always accurate and timely, and they’re always patient and accommodating. While we love all the servers we’ve been sat with, we especially appreciate the service Ashley and Drew provide. We love having a place we can bring friends and family knowing everyone will find something they’ll enjoy, and thank the entire Brick Oven crew for their work in keeping this place as enjoyable as it’s been over the years.

We visited your restaurant yesterday to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience with the hostess was extremely disappointing due to her rude and unprofessional behavior. When we arrived, we informed the hostess that our friends were already inside and asked if we could go look for them. She said yes. We found our group, sat down, and waited for the rest of our party. During this time, no one approached us—there were no menus, no drinks, and no acknowledgment from any server. We waited for about 15 minutes, and although we were talking, we eventually realized that not a single staff member had checked on us. We tried to make eye contact with several servers, but all of them ignored us. That’s when we began to wonder if something was wrong. My friend, who had been the first to arrive, mentioned that she had also simply walked in and sat down because she thought her brother (the birthday guest) was already at a table. She is visiting from another country and wasn’t aware that your restaurant requires guests to wait to be seated. It was an honest mistake. Considering it was a Monday afternoon with plenty of open tables, we didn’t think it would be an issue. My husband went to ask the hostess if we could get menus and a server, and her response was shockingly rude. She repeated, in a very condescending tone, that “it is not first come, first serve,” even though we were unaware of what had happened before. She then brought menus and silverware to the table and set them down with clear hostility. Her attitude was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. She repeated the same phrase to us again—“it is not first come, first serve, just so you know for next time”—and walked away. When my friend tried to explain and acknowledge her mistake, the hostess simply ignored her and continued acting dismissive and disrespectful. We were honestly shocked. This situation could have been handled so easily with simple communication and professionalism. Had she explained the seating policy calmly, we would have gladly returned to the entrance and waited. Instead, her attitude made us feel extremely uncomfortable and completely ruined the celebration. The birthday guest felt so bad that he did not eat, and the rest of us just tried to make the best of an awkward situation. We fully understand the policy and acknowledge our mistake, but it does not justify the way we were treated. She assumed everyone knows the rules and failed to consider that not all guests are familiar with local dining customs. It was a harmless misunderstanding, yet she made us feel as if we had done something intentionally wrong. This level of immaturity and lack of customer service is unacceptable—especially from the person guests interact with first. It reflects poorly on the restaurant and affects the overall experience from the moment people walk in. We hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no guest should feel unwelcome or disrespected when choosing your establishment.

Dined at 4:30 PM today and had an absolutely phenomenal experience, thanks to our waiter, who was hands-down the best we’ve ever encountered. From the moment we sat down, their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm elevated our meal. They expertly guided us through the pizza and pasta menu, offering spot-on recommendations that made every bite unforgettable. Their seamless service, constant check-ins without being intrusive, and infectious passion for the restaurant’s offerings made us feel truly valued. This level of care is rare and deserves recognition. We’ll be back for the food and, most importantly, for this outstanding waiter!
