Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Ordered through Door Dash. Everything was well packed. However, I was missing a pita. I ordered extra 3 but received 2. my husband had the chicken shwarma sandwich. he said it was good. I had the falafel dinner and the rice was OK. I don't have a complaint about that, but the falafel was very spongy and was lacking flavor. Dry. The pita was not the usual pita I can't even describe it. It was a little glutenous. It wasn't your typical pita and I really didn't care for that. I also ordered extra tahini sauce and that was lacking something. I'm not sure really what it was lacking, but it didn't have much flavor and I also ordered hummus which came with one pita and the hummus was missing something so I don't know if it was maybe not enough lemon or garlic, but it was very bland. The baklava was OK. It wasn't very moist and it just had an OK flavor. This is just my experience and perhaps you like the flavor more than I but I probably won't be ordering from this restaurant again. 5/2025- was looking for a falafel place. On Door dash they are now Vegan Vibe Mediterranean. I said I was not going to order from Cairo again. Well I was fooled. Seems like they rebranded to Vegan Vibe. I ordered and wondered why these falafel were so familiar - dry. Now I know why. Samosas were greasy …. Shame.

Seems decent for quick middle eastern food! I’ve only visited once and tried their mixed shawarma bowl which was a mix of chicken and beef. I don’t know enough about different middle eastern cuisines to know what type of beef shawarmas are different but this type was the longer strips that were tougher. Sauces were white and a red sauce. The red sauce was not particularly spicy hot but added light flavor. The restaurant itself has a few seats and the street parking is metered.

We ordered Cairo Falafel through Uber Eats, and overall it was a really great experience! The platters were flavorful and filling, but the absolute standout for me was the grilled veggie pita with fresh hummus. I honestly haven’t had anything like it before — the vegetables were perfectly charred, the pita was soft and warm, and the hummus tied everything together so well. Just thinking about it now has my mouth watering. The only downside was the falafel. While they had good flavor, the texture was a little too dry, and they didn’t have that “wow” factor I was hoping for. Given the name, I expected them to shine more, but they fell short compared to the other items we tried. That said, the overall meal was delicious, and I’ll absolutely be ordering again. Cairo Falafel clearly does a lot of things right, and I’m already looking forward to having that veggie pita again soon!
