Canggio was such a great Google find! I was trying to find a mid-way point for a friend and I to grab a bite and drinks. I visited back on 12/11/25 in the evening but I kept the receipt so I could write this review. ☺️ Our server Elena was BEYOND fabulous with great recommendations. She was very patient, understanding, and accommodating. Elena gave us great suggestions for drinks and menu items and she did not steer us wrong! We ordered: papaya margaritas, classic margaritas, empanadas, parihuela, chaufa, bisteck chorrillana, and churros for dessert. The atmosphere and decor matched the amazing customer service. The bathrooms and front of the house were clean and organized. The lighting is dimly lit in the evening but made for a great ambiance and vibe. 10/10 in all categories! I will definitely come back for the menu items we didn’t get to try that night. Shout out to the back and front of the house, this is an excellent establishment.

Food here was DELICIOUS. I ordered chaufa with pollo a la brasa! It was so good. Also, REAL FRESH CHINOLA (passion fruit) juice. LOVE IT! Definitely if you are in Norwich, eat in this place. Staff was super attentive and nice and accommodating. Great music too.

A restaurant that had fallen off our radar in the past couple years…Canggio! It randomly popped into my head last night and took me by surprise bc it hasnt been in our rotation at all lately. So off we went, and man….Im SO GLAD we did!! What a wonderful dining experience! The bartender Alaina (sp?) was incredible. Present, attentive, knowledgeable and willing to make a drink that I offered. She is very good at what she does and it shows. Her expertise and the willingness of the owner/chef to come and chat with us made our night. Then there’s the FOOD. OMG. You can taste the love and effort that goes into this food. We started with the ceviche trio. Each one was so fresh and bright. Jay got the flank steak and I got the octopus. I have to say the octopus was cooked to perfection and the presentation was unique w the spinach mashed potato wave. Absolutely delicious. She even suggested a wine that would properly accompany my dish. We usually skip dessert, but we couldn’t pass up the cream filled churros with ice cream and chocolate raspberry sauce. Again, perfect. I cannot say enough about Canggio. Just GO. So glad we did! 🍽️🍷🥃
