Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The absolute best restaurant in town. It’s such a welcoming and inclusive environment. The food is so good. I love their seasonal offerings. Great margaritas too! And I love checking out the art. I’ve even bought a few pieces.

We stopped for lunch on a Saturday. The place was busy, a wait for tables, so the four of us sat at the bar. It is Brew Week in Athens, so many of the restaurants have an extended beer list. I chose a local Mexican lager. Our bartender was busy but still got to us in a reasonable time. I ordered street tacos, and my wife had the half enchilada. The food here is quite good and tastes authentic. It is not your "typical" Mexican food that you usually find in Ohio. The street tacos were loaded with chicken and were amply sized. Fresh cilantro gave them a nice flavor to go with the Mexican seasonings. My wife's serving was also proportioned large. They offer vegan alternatives as well. A word of warning, street parking is metered. The couple we were with came in, were seated, and then went outside to put change in the meter. In that short 10 minutes, they were already ticketed.

Chips tasted expired and store bought, salsa tasted like it was from a jar, which when you have to pay for chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant you expect them to be good. The chicken had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. No one in our family enjoyed our meal. Staff were great and very attentive though!
