Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Tempting dishes if you’re craving sweet and spicy food. Friendly staff. Staff is quick preparing food. They also have to go service including compostable cutlery with unlimited green chutney(spicy) and tamarind chutney (sweet). The panner tikka masala wrap (naan) was freshly made and it was very soft. Taste was medium spicy. Dahi Batata Sev Puri was just AMAZING!!! It was sweet, spicy, saucy with yogurt, potatoes, gram flour fried thin noodle, green and tamarind chutney. Samosa chaat was up to the expectation. Mango lassi was okay. I must recommend trying all mouth watering pictured dishes.

I normally don’t like to do bad reviews. However, this needs to be said. I and my husband had aloo tikki chaat and a veg plate with bhindi masala, dal, naan and rice recently. The bhindi masala was terrible. Chewy, oily, and bad quality okra used in making the curry. Not at all good. we were unable to eat it as we were choking on that food. I am a long time resident here, and been to this place quite a few times. The quality has gone terrible here over time. I am disappointed. I tried to tell the guy incharge about this and his answer was ‘okay’. Never stepping foot here again.

Chaat Cafe, located on Blossom Hill Rd in San Jose, offers a delightful dining experience. The service here is impressively swift, ensuring a hassle-free visit. The staff, particularly Meghraj, stood out as exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Meghraj's passion for hospitality is evident, as he attends to guests with genuine enthusiasm. During our visit, we savored Chole Bhature, Samosa Chaat, and a Paneer Wrap. The standout item was undoubtedly the Bhatura; they were among the best I've ever had. These Bhatura are generously sized and incredibly fluffy, making for a truly satisfying meal. Notably, they prepare fresh naan, and the Paneer Wrap is expertly encased in this freshly baked goodness. One word of advice: their portions are substantial, so plan your order accordingly, especially if you have a smaller appetite. Overall, Chaat Cafe on Blossom Hill Rd left a positive impression, and I'd gladly return on future visits to San Jose. It's a must-visit for those seeking delicious Indian cuisine with attentive service in a welcoming atmosphere.
