Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This spot is in Burien off of 156th and from what my niece said their Sunday brunch is super popular so I met up with her, my sister and great nephew. It's Black owned and since it's our history month I was excited to go and see it and try their food. IMO, they did NOT DISAPPOINT!!! It looks small when you walk in but it has other rooms and a outside area that you can sit in on nice days and parking in the back. A small bar is on the side as you come in that has tables that you can see the street from. Long story short, I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!! Food was great, atmosphere was fun and not stuffy, waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing and will recommend items according to your taste. Decore is cute. I had the shrimp and cheese grits and finished ALL OF IT!!! Niece and I had guava mimosas...YUM! I forgot what the others had since it took me a bit to write this review but I do remember that my other nephew came with a friend of his and he ordered blueberry Belgian waffles and I was eating some off of his plate...DELISH!!! I ❤️ fresh blueberries and it didn't disappoint. The owner mingled with the patrons, totally cool to me!! Make the time to go there for brunch or something if you're in the area!😁🥰

My wife and I heard so much about this establishment, so we invited some friends to join us and we ventured over to Burien for a Sunday breakfast date. There was free street parking when we arrived, probably because we arrived around 9:20 am. It was only a short wait and our table was available shortly afterward. Three of us ordered the Biscuits & Creole Chicken Strips, a couple of people ordered the Biscuits & Gravy, one person got the Classic Eggs Benedict and there was also an order of the Country Fried Steak & Eggs and an order of the Chicken & Waffles with berries. The Biscuits & Creole Chicken dishes were SUPERB...tasty, delicious, mouthwatering lol! The biscuits were nice and fluffy, the honey drizzle on the crisp chicken complimenting the creole sauce with a savory flavor. The Country Fried Chicken was HUGE, and the jalapeño gravy on top of it was fantastic! Eggs Benedict dish was flavorful and you can never go wrong getting the Biscuit & Gravy dish here. The Chicken & Waffles with berries meal was probably one of the best ever had. The portions were nice and filling, VERY BIG PORTIONS (several people took home to go boxes) so definitely bring your appetites. I normally don't drink but couldn't resist ordering up a mango double Mermosa, which was very refreshing. Big shout out to our server Kayla, who was delightful with her jokes AND service! Overall a great dining experience and I'll have to come try dinner again at this fine establishment!

It truly felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home for a homemade meal made with love. Tony also shared that he offers catering and handed us his business card, which just added to the warm, personal touch. The entire experience felt genuine and heartfelt. Now, let’s talk about the food — the portions are generous to large, so make sure you arrive hungry! I had the Cajun omelette (prepared as a scramble) with homestyle potatoes, a biscuit, and a side of grits. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. It was comfort food at its absolute best — the kind of satisfying meal that makes you want to go home and take the best nap afterward. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and upgraded to the blueberry lemon cream waffles. The blueberries were fresh and crisp, and the lemon zest paired beautifully with the marshmallow cream, creating the perfect balance between a sweet breakfast and a delicious dessert. If you have a sweet tooth, this will absolutely hit the spot. And speaking of sweet tooth — my husband definitely has one! After his meal, he ordered the beignets, and they were phenomenal. They were served with marshmallow cream sauce and caramel sauce for drizzling, which took them to the next level. Light, fluffy, and fried to golden perfection, they were the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing brunch. Classic Eats delivers bold flavor, hearty portions, and unmatched hospitality. This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend!
