Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Our first visit! We really loved De la Paz! I had a baked potato (huge) with grilled chicken. My wife had a chimichanga. Delightful. Server very nice. Right across 31W from Tennessee Flea Market. Loved the decor. We'll be back.

We recently dined at this restaurant with our 10-month-old baby, and it was fantastic. The authentic Mexican atmosphere and generous portions were impressive. The nachos were out of this world, and the Mexican fusion dishes were delicious, all at reasonable prices. The friendly staff made us feel like cherished regulars, adding a personal touch to our visit. We chose to sit inside, though the outdoor tables looked inviting. The welcome treat was a delightful surprise you won't want to miss! Overall, a highly recommended spot for delicious Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality.

My wife and I recently moved here from Texas where Tex Mex is king. We’ve tried a few other places in the area but weren’t able to find that perfect spot. After eating lunch here one afternoon we were hooked. The salsa is spot on and the fajitas are too. Their margaritas have a surprising kick to them and come in all kinds of different flavors. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed It’s family owned and they take pride in their food. They have a large following by the locals, and now we know why! We’re glad to be close to this restaurant, which might be a bad thing for our waistline. But we hit this place one time a week.
