Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I had really good experience with gio’s bakery. Foods are great, ppl are nice, cozy place to have pastry and coffee 💕

Classic Comfort, Montrose Style Gio’s has that lived-in charm - the kind of place that feels like it’s always been there, even if you’ve only just discovered it. There’s a quiet nostalgia in the air. It’s not trying to be trendy - it just is what it is. And that’s the magic. The cappuccino was spot on - rich, smooth, and made with care. You really can’t beat a good cappuccino on a cool Montrose morning. Unrushed. Familiar. Like a neighborhood should.

This seems like a nice spot for pastries, though it seems a bit understaffed. The poor guy behind the counter was making drinks, getting pastries, and taking orders all himself. We got the pear-almond tarte and a creme brulee. They were both alright, but the tart wasn't as crispy as it could be. It was also quite expensive. It's definitely worth another try.
