Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This place is DO NOT MISS if you come to San Antonio. The area where I live does not offer many vegan options, so I am not experienced with the flavors, textures, or preparation of a nice plant based meal. The food here is over the top good. My sister and I ordered phish tacos (tofu). The tortillas were SO good (sourced from local bakery) and the tacos were amazing! The phish had a nice crispy fry, the fresh veggies on top...peppers, cilantro, red onion..a beautiful slaw of color and flavors. There are SO many choices on the menu...one visit will not be enough while I'm here, because I want to try everything. If I lived here, I would eat here multiple times a week, because not only is the food delicious, creative, locally sourced, and so much healthier...the hospitality, the mission, the feeling of being welcomed..all of the vibe of this place invites you in. This would seriously be my hang out place if I lived here. Thanks Roger for an unforgettable meal and experience (and thank you to the chef that worked fabulous magic in that kitchen🫶)

This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the city of San Antonio. I've been eating here since they opened - I used to drive all the way from Stone Oak just for their food. The interior is cute and homey, like going to a family member's house. Super cozy, warm and inviting, and the ownersbcreate delicious, flavorful fare that is absolutely guaranteed to leave you full and happy! The food here is not just vegan; it's also healthy! There are a few indulgences (like the desserts and incredible Mac N cheese) but there are a lot of veggies, leafy greens, and whole grains on the menu! And the flavors ... Rich, layered, and SO TASTY. Hash is owned by 2 brothers who are Indigenous and the menu reflects this! If you're on your sober journey or simply don't like alcohol, they have non alcoholic cocktails, as well as CBD infused options. (I haven't tried the latter) My menu favorites: - Veggie Hash (the cheese sauce is amazing) - Pozole - Kale Salad - Dirty Matcha - Buffalo Cauliflower I also appreciate that this establishment is truly for the community in word AND deed. On top of creating an oasis in an area that is a healthy - food desert, they also have a little "market" inside the store where ALL items are free to the community. This includes food items, clothing, books, and more. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend this restaurant! Buen Provecho!

I stopped at Hash Vegan Eatery about a month ago and met my non vegan homegirl there. We parked in the parking lot just about next to the restaurant. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Customer service was excellent. The gentleman was very patient explaining food items and giving us recommendations. The bathroom was clean. The food was very tasty and filling! I try to stay away from soy so there were many items I couldn't eat. The best part, this restaurant partners with people in the community to help take care of people in the community. I love that! We did leave smelling like fried food and that smell lingered. Check them out and let me know what you think!
