Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The reviews for this place and the fusion concept are fantastic so my friend and I were flabbergasted to have such a bad experience. All around, it was just mishap after mishap. First of all, the vibe is not what you would expect. The tables and chairs really need to be replaced — they are giving yard sale leftovers when the restaurant is trying to give upscale dining. Second, we felt bad because the waiter was clearly slammed and no one was helping him. He was nice but did not do a good job because of how busy he was. After bringing us our first dishes, he didn’t give us any silverware or plates so we just sat there awkwardly. Our drinks were left at the bar for 15 minutes after being made and the bartender didn’t bother bringing them over even though she wasn’t doing anything other than cleaning. When our waiter finally came back he finally realized he hadn’t given us plates, silverware or napkins, so he brought us plates and spoons (???) and forgot the rest. So we continued to sit there awkwardly with our appetizers on the table. As we sat there we noticed how not a single table around us had been bussed and they were all covered in trash and dirty dishes which was very unappealing. When we were finally able to ask our waiter for silverware and napkins so we could eat, the food was very disappointing. The pita chips that came with our hummus plate were hard as a brick and stale, and the carrot salad was half raw — some carrots were cooked nicely, but others were crunchy and had barely been cooked at all. The rest of our plates were just okay but definitely not worth the price we paid. Perhaps this was just a one-time bad experience but it was shocking given the good reviews. Overall this was an extremely disappointing experience and I would not return or recommend.

Before enjoying the food, I immediately loved the space. Painted ceiling on the first floor with a contemporary vibe, spiral staircase to upstairs, and tall ceiling with wooden rafters. If anyone if your dining party has issues walking, I would recommend requesting a table on the first floor - as someone who is not a master in heels, I found the spiral staircase a bit daunting. All of the appetizers - 5/5. We were there for restaurant week, so I’m not sure if the dishes are the same as a normal week, but my lamb was delicious. I’m not one to order chicken, but I would consider the chicken dish next time - my friend loved it. I found the salmon to be a bit bland, but it was still decent. The salmon is a good option if you want something on the lighter side. I would try anything on the menu - everything had a really interesting blend of spices and it was refreshing to see unique flavors and food combos when dining out. The milk tarte was the only thing I found to be lacking, so I would go with the chocolate option. It’s extremely rich, dense, and damn delicious! Friendly staff. Allow time to find parking. I’ll definitely go back!

We had an incredible New Year’s Eve dinner at Jewfro! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a special evening. The staff was attentive and ensured everything was perfect throughout the night. The food was absolutely wonderful – each of the five courses was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. We opted for the wine pairing, which perfectly complemented the meal. We also added an oyster course, and the wine pairing for it was included as a bonus. Standout dishes included the handmade Short Rib Agnolotti and the Southern Fried Duck. To top it off, dessert was a decadent Chocolate Glazed Éclair, the perfect ending to a memorable meal. We can’t wait to visit again!
