Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We recently moved to Palm Coast, FL and were looking for an upscale restaurant to celebrate an early Valentines Day. We are very “foodie” people and love trying interesting dishes. Lotus Noodle Bar did not disappoint. We arrived 20 minutes ahead of our reservation given the drive to St. Augustine from Palm Coast and were seated immediately. We had a lovely 2-person table right in front of the kitchen where we could observe the chef staff cooking and plating meals. The venue is small but intimate and the decor gives off a warm inviting vibe. Our fabulous server Diane explained the menus options to us and we decided on two of their specialty sake cocktails to start off with, the Lotus Blossom and the Holidays on Ice and both were very unique and good. We chose the Japanese A5 Tartare and the Nikkei Hamachi Ceviche as our appetizers and the taste and presentation were perfect. It was hard to decide on our main entrees but we decided to have the Lobster & Noodles and Udon Carbonara & Caviar. Both ramen entrees were extremely tasty and very filling, so much so that I ended up taking half of mine home to save room for dessert. The broth in the Lobster & Noodles was the best I have ever had in a ramen dish. My husband loved the Udon Carbonara & Caviar and finished it completely. My husband is not much of a dessert person so he had a glass of port and I went with the NYC Dreams dessert. I loved the combination of white chocolate cheesecake mouse with brown butter sable crumbs and Ossetra caviar. It was light airy and a perfect way to end a wonderful meal. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be eating here again very soon.

The food and service are absolutely exceptional. Every dish is beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavor. The noodles and broth are rich, perfectly balanced, and clearly crafted with great attention to detail. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the creativity behind each dish. We had a large group dinner and everyone loved the experience!

Food was good and service was what I’d expect for the price. Chef was accommodating and friendly. Outdoor patio wasn’t too loud and has fans and space heaters depending on the weather. The appetizers were unique and worth splurging on. The sunomono was 5/5, tuna sashimi was 4/5, ceviche 4/5, and the scallop crudo was 3/5 I tried 4 different entrees and each had a unique flavor profile but unfortunately I can’t recommend them at the price point. In Jacksonville you can get similar or larger portion sizes, and in my opinion better tasting ramen, for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of Lotus. I heard high praise from numerous parties in the restaurant regarding the food but I don’t think it was regarding the entrees. Cons: In a large party they said they don’t split checks for large groups - understandable but we just paid $75 pp for dinner it would be appreciated to spend the 5 minutes to split it. They said they’d charge us for spicy chili sauce for entrees even though they’re $40 each…would’ve been nice to know before you took our sauces that came with the appetizers (not that I asked one waitress not to take them and another one did), and worst of all 4% CC fee. Only one bathroom - was a line the entire night. Edit to the response: Yes, the CC surcharge is understandable and clearly shown on menu and website, but the inability to split the check is not. I brought cash to cover my portion of the bill but I am not going to ask our entire party to bring $100 cash each to save 4%. I was surprised we couldn’t even pay the entire tip in cash given the gratuity was automatically added to the CC.
