It is rare that I say wow that $100 dinner was worth it. But wow was it worth it! Some of the best food and atmosphere. You feel like you’re home but also at a high class, artistic NY experimental eatery. Probably one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was great. Full 3 course meal with wine and didn’t feel rushed, stuffed, or gross, it felt like the perfect portions. Cannot sing this places praises enough. It is a must go! They were extremely mindful of allergies. Top notch service. This is not a place I would bring children to be honest. This seems more like an adults experience.

We went to dinner here not knowing what to expect and found a gem. We ordered a bit of everything because it all sounded great. We started with 3 apps: blue cheese stuffed dates, ricotta toast, and green eggs and ham. My fav was the dates because it was the perfect bite. They blended cheese, spice, and warm date together perfectly. Next we ordered entrees. Skirt steak, Porchetta, and the Market fish. Each entree came with a silverware swap and was beautifully presented. My favorite was the market fish with the red curry sauce. Last came dessert. We ordered port, bread pudding, and affogotto. My fav was the bread pudding which forever wreck me for bread pudding for me because it was the best example of what it should be like. We also had cocktails and enjoyed the being at such a place. I wish I could give half stars because this definitely a 4.7 out of 5.

I found myself visiting Winter Haven with friends and we chose the Nutwood in Winter Haven, Florida for our birthday dinner, is an absolute hidden gem and hands-down one of the best dining experiences I've had in Central Florida! From the moment we stepped into this charming, converted house we were enveloped in a cozy, intimate atmosphere that's polished yet completely unpretentious, think warm, welcoming vibes like dining at a friend's elegant home, with thoughtful decor and just the right amount of quiet buzz. It's the perfect spot for a date night, special occasion. The food? Outstanding. Chef/Owner Steven Rojas and his team shine with their farm-to-table approach, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that make every dish feel inspired and seasonal. Highlights from my visits include the incredible egg yolk ravioli (rich, perfectly executed, and unforgettable), just look at the attached picture, it had our whole table raving. These blue cheese stuffed Turkish dates were pure perfection in one bite! It's decadent, balanced, and utterly addictive, sweet, salty, savory bliss on a plate. No wonder these vanish quickly; they're a must-order highlight! The chicken liver patte was silky-smooth, luxurious starter that wins over even the liver skeptics at our table! Rich, creamy, and deeply flavorful with earthy notes balanced by subtle seasonings, it's perfectly paired with toasted sourdough, vibrant dried fruit compote for sweet-tart contrast, and fresh garnishes to brighten each indulgent bite. Velvety texture, no graininess, just pure bliss on crisp toast. The ricotta toast was a simple yet standout starter, fresh, house-made ricotta, that day, piled high on perfectly toasted sourdough, drizzled with local honey and finished with flaky sea salt for that irresistible sweet-savory balance! Creamy, light, and luxurious with bright honey notes cutting through the mild richness Everything was prepared with precision, classic techniques elevated by thoughtful twists and the portions are spot-on. Service is top tier: Emil was attentive, friendly, and genuinely hospitable without being overbearing. The staff makes you feel valued, whether explaining the menu or accommodating requests, he was on task. I thought it was fantastic value. It was delicious and executed at a level far above my other experiences in Winter Haven. Nutwood isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary destination that punches way above its weight.
