Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

It was good, but not all that. When I got my food I was treated pleasantly staff was awesome, but, the portions were not what I thought. When I saw the crab rangoon online it look like there were four pieces. I found out that it was one egg roll cut in half I also was able to count the pieces of chicken in my spicy strawberry chicken, which lets me know that I wasn't getting enough. The plate that it came in did not have enough food in it.

What a wonderful first experience at Oriental Spoon! The service was great and the food was incredible! We had the tteok fries, spicy pork ramyun, bulgogi beef soup and a side of kimchi. Every bite was delicious. One of my new favorite restaurants in the area, and I can’t wait to go back!

Oriental Spoon remains my favorite lunch spot in Edwardsville. The food is always delicious and the service is quick and friendly. I personally recommend the spicy pork bulgogi. Its my go to and it is the best bulgogi you'll ever eat on this side of the pacific. Their other offerings are great, especially the appetizers. You wouldn't think fried tofo dipped in spiced soy sauce would be that good, but its like my personal catnip. The selection of beer is good, with a decent choice of Japanese and Korean beers available, as well as a couple of the better American ones. All in all, a fantastic place to bring a friend to have lunch and a beer.
