Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was a bit disappointed with the food experience. When you order something classic like a burger and poutine you expect it to meet the usual standard. Poutine really should come with cheese curds, and a $10 burger shouldn’t feel like a slider. The total came to $24, which felt high given the quality. That said, the ambiance was great, and I appreciated the bartender’s recommendation I went with her suggestion of the burger and poutine. Poutine isn’t made with melted cheese. The recipe is French fries, hot brown gravy, and fresh cheese curds. Curds not melted mozzarella that makes the fries soggy mess.

This is bar food - open late at night. Some is even healthy. Very helpful staff. Street parking getting impossible but plenty of small lots. Quick service depending on what you order. Good drinks. Golden road mango beer was light and tasty. Beer battered shrimp very good. Steak pita a bit salty. Churrasco slider tender but small for $10. Kimchi loved by all as was the poutine (Canadian French fries) with Marsala sauce.

I come here very frequently, it's one of my friends' usual spots. Always loved the food and drinks, but an employee's behavior made us feel uncomfortable and we left early. It was Valentines night around 11pm, management told us they closed at 2am, and we were hanging outside. A birthday party had just ended, and we were commenting how good the leftover cake looked, joking we should go get some, too. The parents of the birthday girl overheard us and happily offered us the cake before they left. We took it back to our table outside, and a manager cleaning up the party saw this interaction happen, she was really close by. We were eating the cake for about 15 mins or so when we noticed a lot of employees making faces at us and whispering to each other while staring. Suddenly, a young employee with straight, short dark hair and white Tshirt comes over to our table, wedges herself in between my two friends to TAKE our cake. She says "i'll take that" and takes 3 steps, and throws it in the garbage right in front of us. I have no idea why this happened. It was really unnecessarily mean. We've been loyal patrons for the past several years, the regular bartenders recognize us. It was very disappointing, and I don't want to go back after that.
