Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Had a lovely dinner at Phoenicia Wednesday evening (reservations highly recommended). Their reputation for an exquisite dining experience is evident in that everything is fresh and made from scratch. Our waiter, James, was exceptional, and helped us decide which appetizers would go well with our Bronzino main dish, which we decided to split and which was made to perfection. We opted for chicken and hummus, which my companion loved, even though she generally isn’t a fan of hummus. We also had the Arayes (Pita with Kafta / Tahini / Sumac Onions), Sujuk (Spicy Armenian Sausage in Tomato Sauce) and Fattoush salad. Lastly, we finished with the flakiest Baklava (not drenched in honey) and a creamy Chocolate Torte with Raspberry sauce - all delectable! This upscale Lebanese restaurant has a wonderful muted, yet elegant atmosphere with stellar service and excellent food. Looking forward to visiting again.

One of my absolute favorites! The food is always so fresh and flavorful that it's impossible to stop eating. Because everything is made with the best ingredients, you don't feel weighed down. Labneh is a must! Grape leafs are best anywhere. Lebanita, my favorite drink on the menu!!! Service is always great as well.

WAS EXPECTING AUTHENTIC LEBANESE FOOD given the name and ownership of the restaurant and instead the rude waiter, Nate L, suggested the ribs since the chef is either from Texas or is really "in to" Texas barbecue - he said the ribs are really popular and the best thing on the menu. How disappointing! Ordered the Lebanese salad, the Mixed Grill, in which my shish kabob was literally one cube of beef smaller than a mini-meatball (which could have been perceived as punishment since I changed the temp on the beef from medium to medium plus), the chicken shawarma which was not only bland but the rice was an up-charge and came swimming in water, and several cocktails (much needed due to the treatment and the taste of the food). Do NOT recommend, food was dissatisfying and inedible. Also, I have never been sat so closely to other diners that I could hear their thoughts. This was suppose to be a kick start to us celebrating our wedding anniversary for a month-long, and could not have been a more regrettable start. Must really reiterate that the waiter was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and acted as if he was doing us a favor by servicing us (his job), and we still tipped him generously as is our custom. Would not recommend this restaurant.
