I traveled all the way from Chicago to Douglas, Georgia to experience “Chicago in Atlanta,” and Sharberry’s Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor, cooked to perfection, and made with love. My cousin’s hospitality was overwhelming in the best way — warm, genuine, and unforgettable. I walked in on a Sunday evening around 6:45pm. We waited for a minute and then a nice lady greeted us. As we were talking to her, she informed us that she was the owner. She told us about Soul Food Sundays. The menu was very nice. The meals came with two sides. I ordered the catfish which I got two pieces. The owner asked me how would I like it cooked. I told her exactly the way I wanted it fried. The two sides that I got were yams and collard greens. Once I got home and tasted the food, I know it was a piece of heaven. My grandma from heaven smiled at me and said that food is good and you better eat it all. I did exactly that. I ate it all. I will be going back for the Chicago food as well.
