Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

We went to Taaj Chaat House on a weekday, and it was a great experience. The place is really spacious, and they even have a small party/private room. I think it's one of the best North Indian spots I've tried around here. Since the restaurant is pretty new, we didn't have any expectations, but it totally exceeded them. We ordered the Veg Kathi Roll, Paneer Kathi Roll, Paav Bhaaji, Cheese Pizza from the kids' menu, and Chana Puri. Everything tasted amazing. We'll definitely go back. This place is worth a try!

We ordered Samosas, samosa chaat, aloo tikki, & chicken khati roll. Samosa chat was really good and tasted fresh. Aloo tiki was good but seemed pretty expensive for two tiny aloo tikki. Chicken khati roll wasn’t very good. Naan wasn’t thick enough and there wasn’t much flavor in the chicken kabab. Chicken roll got so soggy that we couldn’t even eat the naan 🙁

The restaurant was better than I expected when I walked in. The food was decent. The sitting area was large. We had the two entree lunch deal. The food is pre-prepared kind of like you would see at a buffet restaurant and you get to pick from several dishes. It’s not all you can eat, so choose wisely. They also give you rice and one naan bread. We got soda, but they don’t have a self serve fountain and the downside is they limit you to only one refill. With the spicy food, I could have used more than one.
