Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The food here was unbelievable good! I was shocked at how great the food was! The portion size was great and I left with a to go plate because the omelet I had was that big! My server was Jada and she answered every question I had and was patient and kind! I love this place and this is a true gem in Tallahassee! I was treated with great service as soon as I walked in! I will be going back!

I recently visited the Egg Cafe at 3740 Austin Davis Ave, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a very good experience at this place. It's appears to be a busy place but that didn't impact my server who did a nice job. I got a bowl like meal which was really delicious. A very good place for an above average breakfast.

We had not been here in a while but my recollection was that they had solid above average breakfast food. I don't know if they had a bad day or are having employee issues or what but today almost everything was bad. The hollandaise sauce on a Benedict had no lemon flavor and a weird thin texture. I had not-great bloody Mary's but have never sent one back in my life but this one tasted pretty much just like tomato juice with Worcestershire and came with a large piece of celery that felt a little slimy and had brown ends. The Philly cheese steak looked like it was put under a broiler in a weird way and had odd pieces of beef sticking out of it that were like crispy roast beef jerky in not a good way and flavor was not good. Beer selection was pretty much Yuengling and Bud with a single ipa that they were out of. My favorite thing I tried was a piece of pickled okra from the bloody Mary. Service was good and they were great about taking the Benedict, Philly, and bloody Mary off the bill. You might be tempted to think that our tastebuds were off or something but we went to another place, getting takeout because it was so late, and almost everything was good to great.
