Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Cute Bakery with a full GF-Vegan Menu This Bakery is the perfect place for gluten-free vegans. Their entire menu from sandwiches to cupcakes to drinks are all gluten free and vegan! I stopped by to grab a sweet treat after lunch. I tried their orange cardamom chocolate cupcake and a Mushroom Golden Chai. Both items were wonderfully warm with rich spices. Orange and Chocolate are a perfect match which the cardamom really enhanced. I particularly thought the orange icing was a standout. The cake was moist and not super crumbly. The cake didn’t fall apart as soon as I was biting into it. The Golden Chai was really flavorful and went really with the oat milk. It paired very nicely with the cupcake. I would definitely come back to try their brunch menu. Though be warned, parking is very limited as it is street parking only. They do not advise to park in the parking lot next to their building.

The best spot in KC for gluten free and vegan treats! As someone who can’t have gluten or dairy, it’s so nice to order here without having to worry about my dietary restrictions. Not to mention, it’s delicious! My latte and biscuits were so tasty. The service was also great! Would highly recommend littlest bake shop!!

Every single thing about this gem of a restaurant is perfect! Everything is vegan and gluten-free, but the food is so delicious an omni won't notice. At The Littlest Bake Shop (55th & Troost), I always order the Brekky Smashed Potatoes (tofu scramble on smashed roasted red potatoes...and LOVE it), but today I tried the new Loaded Veggie Potato Smash, and it's also superb!! I still ordered a side of gravy...because I've never had better gravy anywhere. And I never forget the Suzanne Citrus drink. My kid always gets the Littlest Big Brunch with biscuit & gravy, and an Origin of Love Phosphate Soda. They have rotating baked goodies (today I bought a lemon lavendar scone, banana bread with pecans, chocolate donut with strawberry icing, and maple date caramel almond butter with toasted coconut overnight oats from the refrigerated case (doesn't it just sound amazing?...will find out at breakfast tomorrow). They're only open Wed (limited hours), Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun. Everything is made fresh, from scratch (they even make their own ketchup). You can order on their website then call and tell them you're on your way and they'll start your food so it will be close to ready when you get there. But I love sitting and waiting while they make it, the vibes are relaxing and friendly. They have a cart outside to give hats, gloves, scarfs and hygiene products to people in need. Even in such hard times for small businesses, they still find ways to support the community. The hearts are GIANT at The Littlest Bake Shop!
