Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Stopped in for lunch and started with the Hibiscus Basil Lemonade and it was sooooo good. We also Jared a tasty calamari, nothing too special but good. My Brussels Sprouts, Quinoa & Chicken salad was amazing and we loved the smoked turkey sandwich too. The fries tho, were fantastic! Staff were friendly and loved the venue/bar space upstairs.

My family came here around 2pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty but there was a 45 minute wait. We were finally told to go upstairs and were seated outside on the patio. The hostess was so bland, didn't greet us, or try to make any small talk. Just put menus down and left. Server was MIA the entire meal. Arnold Palmer was only filled up once, 35 minutes into the meal once we flagged someone down. We ordered our kids meal immediately upon sitting down but didn't get it for 27 minutes. Upon time we were finally able to order our food. Took another 32 minutes to get our food. The table next to us was there with empty water glasses for at least 35 minutes without food. The kids Mac and cheese was good. The kids sliders were very tasty and enjoyable. The fries and ranch were eh. The bacon club sandwich was a huge disappointment. Somehow they managed to ruin bacon. It was sickly sweet and thick in a tough to eat kind of way. My husband took the bacon off. The fish was decent. Small and had far too much under cooked breading in it. But the tartar sauce was good. Surprisingly the best thing we had was the cole slaw. My husband who hates cole slaw agreed it was the best thing on the table. $70 for two kids meals, a sandwich, and entree is a bit ridiculous. Ultimately, the horrid service, empty restaurant, long wait, and multiple other frustrated tables made for an awful experience. We will not be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thirsty Lion – Westgate, Glendale From the moment we walked into Thirsty Lion at Westgate, we felt right at home. The atmosphere is energetic yet relaxed — perfect for lung, dinner, drinks, or catching a game in the heart of the Westgate Entertainment District. The food was excellent! I had the Seared Ahi Salad, which was fresh and full of flavor, while my friend’s Southwest Smoked Chicken was perfectly cooked and packed with smoky goodness. The menu offers a great balance of comfort food and globally inspired dishes, and everything looked and tasted fantastic. Our waitress Trinity made the experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations. You could tell she really enjoys what she does — her positive energy made the whole lunch that much more enjoyable. The drinks were top-notch, too — especially the craft cocktails and local beer options. Prices are fair for the quality and location, and the overall vibe makes you want to stay a little longer. If you’re looking for a great meal and even better service in Glendale, Thirsty Lion Westgate is the place to go. Ask for Trinity — she’ll take great care of you!
