Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

If you’re craving real South Indian flavors, Tiffin Hut is the place. The moment we walked in and saw it completely packed, we knew we were in for something special — and it did not disappoint. Their authentic benne dosa was absolute perfection — crisp on the outside, buttery and soft inside — and with one bite, I was instantly transported back to my Bangalore days. The flavors, the aroma, the chutneys… everything felt nostalgic and real.

I’ve visited this restaurant multiple times, and the food is consistently excellent. The flavors and overall atmosphere are truly lovely, which keeps bringing us back. However, the service on busy days especially Sundays needs improvement. During our recent visit, we were told the wait would be 20 minutes, but we ended up waiting 40–50 minutes. There were multiple large tables occupied by guests who had already finished eating, despite a visibly long waiting list with people standing in the corridor, near the entrance, and even outside on the street. While guests should feel comfortable enjoying their time, on very busy days better table flow and courtesy would make a big difference. We also noticed several empty or uncleared tables that were not being turned over, which slowed down seating despite the long waitlist. While waiting, we requested filter coffee so we could step outside and return when called, but it took so long that we left without receiving it. When we were eventually seated, the coffee arrived lukewarm. Given the delay, a freshly served hot coffee would have been appreciated. We completely understand that weekends are busy and that the restaurant wants guests to enjoy their time. That said, a bit more attentiveness and better flow management would greatly enhance the overall experience. With improved service, this place would be exceptional.

Went for lunch and it was good dosa, idli and medu vada. The service was good. They bring food out as it's ready. The malai kulfi was delicious and so was the rose pistachio cardamom kulfi. The menu is short and is focused on Bangalore style dosa.
