Toro Sushi in Tualatin reminds me a lot of Sapporo Sushi — especially for the oversized sushi rolls that easily fill you up. The portions are generous, and the menu covers all the familiar favorites you’d expect from a casual Japanese restaurant. However, several details drag down the overall experience. The place tends to get quite busy, and the service often feels rushed and not very friendly. Even tea is charged separately, which is a bit disappointing. The tempura, unfortunately, is also a letdown — it’s soft instead of crispy, and they don’t provide any tempura sauce with it, which makes it feel incomplete. The bento boxes are standard and similar to other nearby spots, nothing particularly unique. Overall, Toro Sushi works if you’re simply after big portions of sushi, but don’t expect exceptional service or standout sides.

Cute little place in a strip mall with really friendly staff and delicious and fresh sushi. Great potstickers too! You can tell they take pride in their work and on giving a good customer experience. They even gave us (unasked) a stand for my husband’s phone so we could watch the blazer game.

Searched best sushi restaurant in tualatin, I was very happy with the results. Toro sushi is excellent, great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will add it to my list of favorite restaurants.
