Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I'm very picky when it comes to Sushi joints but this one was surprising. I typically don't eat at places that don't serve fresh Wasabi and this place didn't have it. However, my daughter loooves this place so we tried it. Her favorite is the Magnificent roll. If you like spicy, this roll is great with jalapeños and spicy masago on top. Because I can't eat spicy, it wasn't my favorite lol I've been eating more vegetarian options and I tried the Smurf which was my favorite and MT SI which was surprisingly refreshing with apples in it. The had soooo many roll creations and it was difficult to eat as many rolls as we liked on their AYCE menus. If you go during dinner hours you can order from both sides of the menu and for $10 less you can visit them for lunch but you can only order limited rolls on their lunch menu. The drinks were almost as expensive as the AYCE price lol and we didn't order any alcohol, just one specialty drink and 4 cups of tea (I'm used to unlimited tea served in a pot). Unfortunately, Iwas disappointed in their unagi, which is my favorite! There aren't a lot of sushi joints that actually serve it well, so if unagi is your thing ... don't get it here. But their roll creations and diversity make up for it, I guess. All in all, yes, I would go back but I wouldn't order eel and I'd stick with water lol

If you love Sushi, and as much as you can eat, then you can't go wrong eating at Trappers. Everything on the menu is fantastic. When you sit at the sushi bar you will have the best experience ever. You'll see how the chef's really care about their customers. While sitting there one of the chefs looked up and said to the other chef "get some octopus ready". Sure enough the gentleman who sat near me ordered a roll that had octopus. Try this place when you get a craving for sushi, you won't be disappointed.

We’ve been coming to Trappers since they opened here in Surprise. We have NEVER had a bad experience. The service is always phenomenal, and the food is to die for. It is always perfectly made, and the presentation rivals even restaurants in Japan! The manager has come to speak to us on several occasions, and we have nothing but good things to say. The servers are attentive and genuinely friendly. The food always comes super quick and is always amazing!! I definitely recommend if you haven’t tried it yet. Their Happy Hour is so worth it. Amazing food at affordable prices with superb service and a great atmosphere!
