Excellent vegan Southern comfort food. Loved everything we got. Especially the fried chicken, it was super crispy even when it got cold and it was not very greasy. The gumbo and flatbush were great too very well seasoned and full of flavors. Service was quick and friendly. Sad we actually visited the restaurant on its second last day being open. Hopefully they find a way to return soon.

I was surprised how good this place was. Two people I was traveling with said it was the best food ever, but they say that about everything. The “fried chicken” was very good. Very nice texture and taste. Mac and cheese was as good as some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m from the South. Waiter was very friendly. Reasonably priced, although the location is certainly in the hood. Will potentially go back if I am traveling with a vegan again.
