Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Your neighborhood diner choice. We used to go there quite often for brunch before COVID. This is the first time we visit the restaurant in the past few years. The restaurant was half empty when we arrived 6:30pm at Tue night. The environment was clean and service was fast. My feedback on the food is mixed. My son's chicken fry steak was great, crispy at outside and moisten inside. The side salad was also fresh. My prime rib, though in very generous portion, was kind of hard and dry. It feels like did not get chance to reheat all the way through. I took half of it back home reheated using a steamer with excellent result. I also ordered cinnamon bun, which felt mediocre at the best. Maybe it's because Tuesday night is a slow night. Meanwhile, I have to say a few good words about it value. The price is great. You can't find this good price in Eastside anymore.

Excellent food! Face it, when going out for a meal, good food is almost all that matters. This place is it. Family owned diner. Kitchy red, black & white decor but for you'll remember and a huge variety of made from scratch deliciousness. A lot of places will have 4, 5 or even 6 dishes that are tempting. This place has like 40-50. All American diner staples from meatloaf to open faced hot beef sandwiches, turkey dinner any time of the year to (only on Fridays) prime rib. Fast, friendly service and delicious food with portions so large every one walks out with carry out bags to finish at home. Highly recommended!

My friends and I came here for brunch after an early morning hike up Po Po Point; no view up top due to a thick fog. I ordered the German sausage sandwich, w Colby jack cheese 🧀 & fries. It was delicious. The service was quick, friendly, and professional. We arrived around 10:15am and didn't wait long for a table.
