Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Happy to see a restaurant on this corner again! The service was great! The BEST Bloody Mary ever! Food was good - we had breakfast - one basic plate and one a bit more upscale/gourmet. The owner was there assuring everyone was happy. Oh and it’s DOG friendly!!!!

Great to see this place move into the old J. Pistone location. Shaker needs breakfast and lunch spots like this. The atmosphere is open, elegant and relaxing. Big windows make the space bright. The service was excellent, the servers working seamlessly together. A friendly and diverse crew. The food was quite good. Simple enough but with some twists and touches that brought out flavorful combinations. We eat vegan, and there are options that are customizable enough that we were able to choice between options. It would be good, tho, if they added more of the vegan options like they have at the Solon location 56 Kitchen. Then we would be there much more often and could more easily bring our kids, too.

Great lunch! We started with cocktails and went straight in for the main dishes. My "Pewter Mug" salad ($17.00) was fresh, generous and tasty. My friend chose a Mac n' cheese with bacon dish complete with a bit of spicy red peppers; she was pleased with it. Our server, Shay, was attentive and personable. And, at no point did we feel rushed. Desserts were inviting, plentiful and reasonably priced. Ours included a very crunchy, thick chocolate chip cookie ($3.50), a slightly dry but yummy cassata cupcake ($4.00) and a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. For dining in an uplifting, airy environment with very good food, I highly recommend 56 Social.
