Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

If you’re craving authentic South Indian vegetarian food near Chicago, A2B in Warrenville is an absolute treat. The restaurant offers a wonderful fine-dining experience with truly mouthwatering, finger-licking dishes. We ordered the Mini Tiffin, which is “mini” only in name! It comes with a generous spread — dosa, idli, medu vada, upma, and pongal, all served with delicious chutneys that elevate every bite. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also tried the aloo bonda and the vegetarian meals, both of which were excellent and very satisfying. What made the experience even better was the courteous and attentive staff, who were friendly and happy to help with recommendations. Highly recommended. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic South Indian cuisine. You’ll definitely enjoy the food! 😋

went to a2b after hearing really good things abt it. was disappointed by the service and food. food is most definitely over priced as compared to quality. vada & idli combo was good. mysore masala dosa was cold and soggy. found pieces of gobi in the sambhar which was interesting. did not have that crunchy dosa texture. szechuan noodles were good. royal falooda was disappointing. was expecting to be wow’d away as it was a royal falooda and quite expensive. turns out it’s just fruit custard with some ice cream and basil seeds. I’ve never had falooda with chopped apples, pears, and grapes?¿ this was unusual. vermicelli was used very sparsely and also chopped into short pieces. bhanu, our server was nice, he did keep checking in but at one point he just dropped off a to-go box and bag (without us asking) while we were in the middle of eating. felt like they were in a rush to get the customers out and I didn’t like that. overall food and service was sub-par.

Was very excited to try this franchise in US as i have been to the india ones plenty of times. And it dod not disappoint. There is a waiting time so i would recommend booking a table in advance. Food’s great and service is very good.Takes only 5-10minutes for the food to come on the table. The filter coffee was my favourite thing there.
