Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Worth the 1 hour drive every-time ! Food is fresh, well seasoned and still carries that authentic Vietnamese taste . Stephen our server was an amazing attentive host. The Beef Betel leaf was complex in taste , tender. Spicy tuna pancakes were also rich in flavor and not oily .

We decided to make reservations and they had the seating inside. It was a great spot. Jen was SO enthusiastic. She was a great server. She was super familiar with the different dishes and it was a hit. I loved the wings appetizer with the Thai sweet chili. My daughter loves the spring roles. She ordered the Round eye steak PHO with meatballs and I had the combination PHO with shrimp, beef, and chicken. The broth was really good. We even had dessert. My daughter ordered the Mango Creme Brulee and I had the s'mores lava cake. Again did not disappoint. Even the water was tasty. Not like the metallic Central Florida water. One thing when you are coming down Canal St after the draw bridge heading toward the beach, the restaurant is on your left and just as you pass the spot you will notice a driveway, go in there it is customer parking.

I stopped into Garden Fusion over Labor Day weekend for a glass of wine and an appetizer--and I'm so glad I did! This award-winning, cozy spot offers a fusion of Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisine. Out front, there's a charming seating area under a pergola that sets a welcoming tone. Inside, the brightly decorated dining room immediately made me feel comfortable. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a glass of Cabernet along with the Avocado Rolls. To my surprise, the chef came out to introduce themselves and even offered me a sample of a new dish they were testing for the next day's menu--it was amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant was spotless, and the menu offered an impressive variety: everything from salads, pho, rice and vermicelli dishes to poke bowls, seafood, and vegetarian specials. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in New Smyrna Beach--or even as a reason to visit the beach in the first place!
