We love the breakfast Bar at Abele's... the lovely ladies that wait on the tables are so sweet. They make sure you have everything you need. They keep.the bar fresh and clean. Even when the build is packed they still maintain a great atmosphere. I enjoy reading the signs throughout the building. I get good laughs at of some of those signs. The old decor makes this place feel like home.

First time here. Came for dinner. Ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with the food bar option. Chicken was a small portion swimming in a pool of white gravy. Could've been fine with a 1/4 of the gravy. Taste was OK. Food bar had a good amount of options between hot items, salads, veggies and sweets. Unfortunately the veggies were not that fresh. I assume it was the time of the day which was around 4:00pm so maybe the items have been there for a while after lunch hour. The place looks good. Seems clean and it is well decorated with lots of artifacts from way back. Tables are well stocked with condiments which is always good. Service was OK. My server, either was new or just not experienced waiting tables or very shy. At least she offered refills and to go cup. Overall, not a place I may come back or even recommend. If you are in the area and want to try something new then go ahead. Give itba try. Maybe other people find it better.

We stopped in to see what it was like . This place used to be a Shoney's they said years . It had a self-service bar but you could also order food. Very much country food and delicious. Collard greens potato wedges hamburgers steaks chicken and of course a salad bar. Everyone that worked there was so kind. I'm glad we were able to stop in for a bite
