Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

There’s not many West African restaurants where I live on the west coast, so decided to try take out from here during a layover in Indianapolis. This was my first time ever trying West African cuisine, and it felt like unearthing a treasure chest 😆. I’m in love with the bold spices (scotch bonnet?) and bases (hints of an umami seafood-y base?) in the stew (it was unexpectedly spicy and oily for me as a first timer but I love it all the same!). I got the pounded yam (iyan) with okra stew (okro/alasepo) with beef and goat. Was really eager to try the texture of the iyan, and it’s perfectly soft but stretchy. Now hoping I can find similar restaurants back home where I live 🤔. It’s a really unique flavor for me.

I went today at the recommendation of a Nigerian man I met. First time eating Nigerian food, I loved it! The other customers were chatting with me and making suggestions, the employees were friendly and patient with me not knowing exactly how to order. The food was delicious. We got there right at 11 and it seems best to arrive a touch later as the food really started all rolling out around 12. Had a blast can’t wait to go again.

Nothing beats walking to a place and seeing your people 😍🥰 the food is amazing and the owner is a character.. super funny and witty. I came in hungry and she had few choice meals made for. Ofada rice and turkey to start and then pounded yam and draw soup! Amazing and I left with some drinks from the motherland. Place is busy so you might have to wait a few minutes to be served. Just go to enjoy yourself and you will be pleased.
