Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was met with a smile before I even made it through the door, seated promptly… and then the wonderful staff immediately spilled a full pitcher of water all over me 😂 Handled with grace, humor, and apologies—honestly set the tone for the whole night. I started with the roasted corn and bacon chowder. First impression: perfect thickness and consistency for a dynamite chowda. The corn was plentiful, the bacon showed up in every bite, and the balance was spot on. For the main course, I went with the Ritz-baked cod. The crust was crispy and cracked satisfyingly as I dove in, while the fish itself was cooked through but still tender and flaky. The mashed potatoes were creamy with a fluffy firmness you can really appreciate—comfort food done right. Dessert did not disappoint. The vanilla crème brûlée had a beautifully caramelized top with that deeply satisfying crack, paired with a delicate, smooth filling. I saved the lemoncello sorbet for last—light, refreshing, fluffy, and perfectly lemony with just the right amount of zing. A great way to end the meal. And the vibes… oh, the vibes. Down-to-earth, chill, and super homey. If eating at your in-laws was a stage play, this would be the version where everyone actually likes each other—warm, welcoming, and filled with a subtle but obvious love for the craft. Would absolutely come back. Update: food is still top shelf! just found the bar it is the coolest live edge slab I’ve seen, there is literally a whole story goong on in it !! So cool! Update to the update: sat at the bar today had a wonderful time chatting with Rey and Lex, tried the brussels sprouts super tasty super good, had the steak quesadilla so freaking good crispy outside tender steak inside yum. What I really like about this place is the people 1000% everyone I talk to It’s just like I’m talking to a good friend who I haven’t seen in a while over a few beers.

This restaurant is truly a testament to loving what you do and having it show in your work.. the staff are friendly, charming, and sincere - we felt like family. The food is absolutely incredible. We were blown away by the brussel sprouts that started our meals.. and our entrees were delicious! Maine Lobster Ravioli and Pan Seared Scallops.. perfectly cooked and portioned. We will be back soon to try more of their inventive menu!

I'm on a quest to see as many state Capitol buildings as I can. So naturally I stopped in "Conquered" New Hampshire. After taking in the State House I asked AI to help me find a good local restaurant - and it delivered. Alexandra's is a ways away from the energy of downtown but well worth the drive! Monday night is pasta night, so you hop in line and the chef makes individual pasta at your request right in front of you. Not only was the food amazing, but it felt like everyone dining there knew each other and were part of the same beautiful community. I was going to sit at the bar by myself until two locals invited me to join them and swap life stories! Everything about this place represented New England at its finest.
