Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I visited Allegro La Verne for lunch with my newborn baby and our nanny, and we had a lovely experience. The waitress was extremely thoughtful and kind. When I asked if I could have some hot water😍 she immediately brought me a warm cup, which I really appreciated—especially as a new mom. The portions here are very generous, and the atmosphere feels warm, cozy, and authentically Italian. For two adults we ordered: • Filetto Di Manzo Al Gorgonzola e Pepe Verdi (cooked medium) • Conchiglie Con Salsa di Gamberi • House Salad • 2 Americanos Everything was flavorful and satisfying, and the portions were large enough that we almost couldn’t finish it all. A very cute and welcoming Italian restaurant—perfect for a relaxed lunch. I would definitely come back again.

This is our second restaurant in La Vern we visited. A very cozy and friendly atmosphere. The area is semi residential and commercial. A perfect suburban setting. Inside the restaurant doesn't have many seating. Mostly are outside. We thought it'd be cold, but surprisingly it was not. Those heaters worked very well. We ordered some appetizers and a plate of salmon with angel pasta. Food was delicious. Service was superb. Parking was a little challenging. We found some parking around the 2nd block on the street. No complain though. It is suburban!

You have to come dining at Allegro La Verne, not just the vibe, but the food here, OMG, so gooooood. (Meanwhile, pls be warned that the portion here is BIG, 1.5 times than average) The interior design has good elements of European old bistro style, the wooden floor and medieval hanging lamps makes you feel like having dinner in Europe. As to the food, I ordered Salad Caprese, Penne Explosive, and Chicken Piccata, the Caprese mixed with onions and oregano, plus some balsamic sauce, yummy 😋. Next on to definitely the best Chicken Piccata I've ever had, the chicken is tender and perfectly breaded and pan-fried, and the lemonade saucer plus lots of capers, served with mashed sweet potatoes and water-boiled broccoli 🥦, I literally finished the whole thing including the side pasta. Last one, the Penne Explosive, Italian sausage cooked in spicy 🔥 tomato 🍅 sauce, make sure you ask for their homemade chili sauce, trust me, the Penne Explosive 🧨 tastes even better with it.
