Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Stopped in with the family after church, made a drive out to Madison because the wife wanted Ramen and we'd never been here. Kind of a hole in the wall place - seating is limited, one comfy four top and then a lot of stuff mostly designed for 1-2 people. The booths can hold 4 people, but it will be a tight 4. They will hand you a menu when you come in, but you will order at the counter when you are ready. Water and unsweet tea were self serve and free, they had canned Coke products (no Coke Zero) -- all the dishes were served in togo/disposable containers. Employees were extremely friendly. We ordered a variety of dishes to sample everything; shrimp katsu plate, chicken gyoza, chicken katsu, beef curry rice and tonkotsu Ramen. Prices are reasonable for Huntville - Curry or Ramen dishes are $15, Katsu plates $12, and Kids (Keiki) are $8. Portions were good and food came out quickly. Wife is half Asian and said all the food was food for the most part. She enjoyed her Ramen and my Curry. I was not a fan of the gyoza (might have been it being chicken and not pork) and felt the sear was light. Vegetables in my curry were huge, but that's a nitpick. Both my kids ate their ketsu and rice without complaint; chicken ketsu I stole was moist. Definitely give it a shot!

My husband and I came here on a Saturday around noon for a quick lunch. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and handed a menu. After looking at the menu, we got the calamari (pictured) as an appetizer. Came out hot and fresh. It came with a sauce that was reminiscent of barbecue sauce but a little more tangy. We both got the spicy tonkotsu ramen (pictured). Noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was just right, not overly spicy. My only small complaint is the chashu in the ramen. I do feel like it could have been a little more tender and flavorful, but overall the ramen was still very good. In conclusion, you should definitely come here if you want some good ramen in a cozy atmosphere. The prices were a little cheaper when compared to somewhere like Kamado in MidCity. I definitely plan on coming here again 😊

So I've driven past this place 1,000,000 times and finally decided to go check it out and Ooooooooh my!!! More food then I expected. Everything we ordered was great. My first authentic ramon bowl and it was good!!! 😀 This is close to home, so we'll be coming here more often. Definitely a must try!!
