Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

We had a mixed experience at Alps. We had been told good things, but it didn't start well that we came in with a reservation, but several walk ups got seated before us. Then some regulars with the same reservation time showed up 20 minutes after us but were seated first. The host at least was apologetic for that, but only in the "you understand, right" way and the regulars didn't hesitate to cut despite my wife having said we'd been waiting a long time. Most places would have at least dropped a free app on is for that. We ordered the second we sat down but food was still an hour plus. Schnitzel was very good, particularly the chicken and eggplant. Spaetzle and Goulash (recommended by the regulars that jumped the line) were also good. All 4 draft beers were only ok, which is a basic requirement for a German restaurant. The real sad part was the dessert. The baklava and strudel were really mushy and bland. My kids wouldn't eat them. The cost was too high for the quality and quantity of food (surprisingly small servings). Probably we're not coming back.

What a fantastic treat this place was - from the atmosphere to the menu, it was a 10/10. We will definitely be coming back and checking out more of this delicious menu. Words can't describe how excited we were to check it out and now we're smitten with this place. You definitely need to try it out.
