Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I cannot say enough good things about Angela’s Cafe! We went there to celebrate our anniversary, and the service was beyond heartwarming. The aesthetic of the cafe was really nice. When they found out it was our special day, they surprised us with a complementary red velvet pastry! The food was absolutely incredible. You have to try the French toast with Nutella and pistachio, it was amazing. We also ordered a skillet, which was savory, filling, and cooked to perfection. This is easily our new favorite spot in East Lansing. Amazing food and even better people!

This is a cute cafe with a pretty diverse menu. It is pretty clean and well decorated. The produce used in the sandwiches was very vibrant, flavorful, and fresh. The veggie sandwich was great, though a little light on the plum chutney. I asked for extra to go, but they didn’t have any containers so I wasn’t given any. The service was okay, I was a little confused on the concept. The staff took our order at the table, but did not come back to refill the water or check on our meal, and you pay up at the register. I think they should either have full table service, or you should order and pay at the front for less confusion. Overall, the food was really good, and I would come back to try some of their other menu items.

Very cute space, very kind staff, and suuuuch tasty food. Very fresh ingredients. I am also gluten free and they have gluten free bread and baguettes which had great flavor and texture and weren’t mini sized which was quite exciting lol. Grateful to have stumbled across this place!
