Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Very cool little spot! The food was pretty good and the portions are very well served, staff took good care of us and we all had a great experience. Some dishes were pretty cheap but some will cost a bit more but over all worth it since the amount of food served is enough to take home. About 10 min wait to get seated.

It's a very small restaurant. It has about 10 seating area. The waitress were very good. As we were waiting for our food were seen some plates come out for the other table and each and everyone of them looked and smell good. I will definitely be going back when I get in town.

A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive from Jax! We took a drive up from Jacksonville and almost thought we had the wrong GPS address when we pulled into a gas station parking lot. Since it was already 8:00 PM, we decided to head inside anyway and boy, are we glad we did! The moment we walked in, we were hit with that unmistakable, delicious aroma of a real Italian pizzeria, just like back in New York. We were a group of four and received a warm, immediate welcome. Our server was incredibly friendly, offering great suggestions, and our food arrived surprisingly fast. The Food: Everything was fresh and high-quality. We started with the vegetable soup, salad, and a decadent garlic bread with melted mozzarella. For entrees, we had the lasagna, the creamy chicken and shrimp Alfredo, and the chicken parmigiana. Everything was superb. We even took home a pizza, calzones, and a dessert spread of cannoli, tiramisu, and strawberry cheesecake! The Value & Vibe: In a time where restaurant prices have skyrocketed, Angelo’s remains incredibly affordable. While the decor is simple, the local atmosphere made our night. The people were so kind…one gentleman offered to take our group photo, and we had a lovely chat with a local who couldn't believe one of us had never been to Georgia! We couldn’t care less about the "ambiance" when the food and service are this fantastic. This is the best review I’ve given a restaurant in years. Angelo’s is now a destination for us. We will definitely be back!
