The food was good, but service was awful unfortunately. We went there at 5:30 pm on a slow Sunday. It took our waitress over 10 minutes to even come up to our table. When we were finally able to order our appetizers, they came out fairly quickly which was wonderful. Our entrees were also delicious and were presented beautifully. However, our entrees came out at completely different times. My husband’s chicken entree came out almost 10 minutes before my sushi roll entree came to the table. Our waitress did see this occurring, but did not say anything to us. We decided to order dessert at the end of the meal, but ended up with no dessert after waiting 20 minutes. Again, our waitress was aware of what was happening but did not address us on it. We had to call our waitress over and ask for the check when we decided we were not going to wait any longer and, although she was apologetic and did not charge us for the dessert that we never received, we still felt like we had wasted a good portion of our evening on a meal and service that did not meet the standard. Absolutely nothing was done to really remedy the situation. We felt ignored while we were there and although the staff seemed aware that these issues were occurring they decided to ignore it.

We were a group of about a dozen and visited during a weekday evening for dinner. Food choices were vast with numerous veggie options, as well as plenty of options for pescatarians and non vegetarians. I ordered the pan seared salmon which was presented well and tasted very good. I also tried the Green Machine sushi roll which included about a dozen pieces. The Green Machine included avocado, Cucumber, rice, marinated tofu, etc. It was better than I thought it would be and I would order it again. The crab meat sushi was also very good but I liked the Green Machine sushi better. All of this was washed down with a Dog Days (Analytical Shandy) on draft. Overall, the experience dining in at Anju Above was very good. I like the restaurant concept of Farm to Table. I would definitely recommend.
