Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

11/27/2025 I was looking for food on "thanks giving" night and I found this in the area. I was amazed to learn that the whole building is full of restaurants. I ordered the coconut shrimp (5 pieces), Thai shrimp fried rice (mild spicy), and a Thai iced tea. Everything was flavorful.

edit - response to owner’s response: all of the other amazing businesses at this location have families of their own as well and are always happy to serve; that does not excuse the horrible customer service and unprofessionalism displayed at Aroi Thai. business is business at the end of the day and good relations, let alone acceptance of constructive criticism from clientele, affects your longevity — as you know now. unfortunately not everyone was built to be a business owner ): good riddance! • im a regular at this point since i stay in the building and appreciate the convenience of this spot. i really like the lady who runs this business and when she makes my food it is top tier !! price is somewhat reasonable and they have b1g1 free for lunch time. unfortunately, since the man started working there, the quality of food and service is the complete opposite in my experience. he never greets you (despite being a regular..) and is rude! i waited patiently for my pickup order (10 extra minutes from my estimated pickup time), didn’t get a greeting, he just brought the food, and said “confirm it .” — watched me with an attitude, and didn’t say anything.. as if i was stealing ? i showed him that it was a personal pickup order and he just continued to stare at me 😭 astronomically weird energy from this guy and it’s not the first time. on top of that, when he prepares my food i have to break out the salt, pepper, and additional seasonings once i realize its not up to par. i let it go three times before because I understand how difficult it can be to work a whole shift/ double by yourself (I’ve been there.) but, even to familiar faces at this point? all the ppl that work down there are basically like friends/ family now since I’ve supported most of the businesses in LA Chef’s Kitchen consistently, but this dude is consistently trying to drive ppl away. in the current job market, im sure someone else would happily take his place instead :/

Play chef is one of the most nicest ladies ever. Me and my boyfriend come to get the Thai tea in the green Thai tea, which is amazing. Also, my favorite is the coconut shrimp rice pot and then the chicken pot pot rice. It comes with the omelette and it is the rice I’ve ever had.
