Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

I was pleasantly surprised coming into this establishment, at first I was a little bit unsure about the prices of some items but the portions that they give you for what you pay are so worth it, the wraps are huge and guaranteed to make you full. As well as the Turkish delights here are amazing and not overpowering, if you’re a big coffee person id also recommend the Turkish coffee. Overall the food combined with the total atmosphere of the place I would definitely recommend anyone around the santa cruz downtown area to come check this spot out. If you’re a fan of Turkish food then you need to come here!

The food was good and there was a variety of options to choose from. The wraps are 12" which are quite filling, and come in a half and a whole option. Aside from that they offer boxes, sides and other main dishes, with beef/lamb and chicken being their main meats. The chicken wrap I got tasted great, with a mixed of vegetables, meat and fries. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is unique and inviting.

After wandering past several food options, we decided on Arslans because it had shaded outdoor seating. The menu was on the smaller side and we weren't sure what to expect. Once we got the hummus brought to our table, we knew we were in good hands. Some of the best hummus I've had in awhile! They served it in a container where extras could be taken home, but we finished it all and left no crumbs. I ordered the chicken dinner plate. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the chicken in my picture, it was so well seasoned as well as the rice. Made for a tasty and flavorful meal. They did miss the request by one of my party to leave off the yogurt dressing in their wrap, and it was beach town prices. Overall glad we happened upon Arslans and really enjoyed my meal.
