Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Finally tried this cute Burmese spot in downtown Benicia. We had the Tender Pork, Mango Chicken, Coconut Rice (for the win), and the Garlic Noodles. Also pictured are the Ginger Lemonade and Traditional Burmese Coffee, refreshing and tasty. Everything on the menu sounded so good and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back.

My first time here and food, service, and ambiance is 5/5. I have nothing but good to say about this place. I think I’ve had Burmese food twice before but it has been awhile. As you walk in you are greeted by one of their staff and we are seated right away. It not a huge restaurant but it’s not small one either. You can smell the food as you walk in and it smells so good it makes you hungry even more. The decor is beautiful. It has a glimpse of their culture shown in paintings. I loved looking at them. The place also looks clean and tidy. For the food we ordered a couple of appetizers and main dishes to share. Love, loved the salt and pepper tofu. It’s a good starter, but don’t forget the sauce. We also ordered samosa’s which had good flavor inside and crispy on the outside. For the main dishes we had: Spicy noodle with shrimp, Traditional Red Curry Chicken, and MayLika’s Fiery with tofu and beef. All these dishes had wonderful flavors and they did not skimp on the protein. Last but not least we shared a dessert. The Dubai Dessert Palatha. I’ve never had anything like it. Love the palatha and ice cream combination. We have to have that ice cream. Note: the chicken in the Red curry was so tender and not dry (as chicken in curry’s tend to be dry at times). The service was awesome. They kept our water cup filled. And we stayed to chat for a while after we ate and they didn’t rush us out.

Absolutely DELICIOUS and authentic Burmese food! There simply are not a lot of Burmese restaurants so I was pleasantly surprised to find one in Benicia. I ordered the tea salad and enjoyed the balance of different flavors and textures. My friend got Burmese noodles and I enjoyed the mushroom-y/smoky/nutty flavors. The drinks were also very aesthetically pleasing. I want to come back and try the other menu items.
