Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Service was great and food was wonderful. No seed oils which I love. So many good things to choose from like healthy bakery options, protein packed bowls, and fresh juices. definitely coming back

Absolutely fantastic farm-to-table experience! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, clearly crafted with high-quality, nutrient-dense ingredients straight from local sources. The vibrant dishes and thoughtful plating made every bite delicious — from the acai bowls to the savory entrees, everything felt like a perfect balance of health and taste. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service made the meal even better. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in Miami looking for fresh, wholesome, and unforgettable cuisine!

I was really excited about the South Miami location of Avo and left very disappointed. We came on a Sunday morning at 8 a.m.—no line, no crowds—and had high hopes given how spectacular we’ve heard the Grove location is. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. For a $52 breakfast, I left both hungry and frustrated. I was asked how I wanted my omelette cooked—hard, medium, or soft—which I’ve honestly never been asked before and found odd. My husband ordered the two eggs, and the eggs came out completely different in color and taste, which was concerning. I ordered sourdough and multigrain toast, only to be told after ordering that there was no sourdough. What arrived was half of a half slice of multigrain toast. I’m all for portion control, but this was excessive. We also asked for regular black coffee and repeatedly got pushed to order an Americano instead. There’s a big difference between standard black American coffee and an Americano, and it felt unnecessary to upsell. The location itself is great, and I really wanted to love this place, but between the portions, confusion, and overall experience, it just wasn’t worth it. I’d save yourself the hassle and money and choose one of the many better breakfast spots in South Miami. Rated 2 stars because the truffle omelette was actually really tasty. Everything else was standard and overpriced.
