Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

Let’s start with service ! Brenda was AMAZING ! Her Hospitality was 10/10, she was very friendly, helped us with the menu and gave us different recommendations that my mom and I were able to try such as the Tinga and the Carnitas! We went 11/26 for lunch. Moving on to the food aspect my mom got a Carnitas bowl with red rice on the side and let me tell you the carnitas was SO tender and mouth watering, she then added both beans, tomatos, onions, fajita veggies, lime, cilantro, cheese, lettuce and sour cream. I got the Tinga which was very flavorful and juicy (not spicy at all) in a bowl with red rice on the side as well, which was also very flavorful, it wasn’t soggy, mushy, or lacking flavor a solid 10/10. I also added both beans, corn salsa, tomatos, onions, fajita veggies, lime, cilantro, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and jalapeños (which definitely had a decent kick!) We both got the salsa verde on the side (again not spicy) which we enjoyed mixing in the bowl! The drink options that we tried were the Horchata and the Jamaica, they were both good but we ended up going with the Jamaica. It was very natural and not super sweet. The portions are great for the price and very filling, we left stuffed and cant wait to return! Still thinking about that Jamaica juice 😋 Bonus: The female bathroom was SUPER clean, can’t speak on the men’s behalf lol.

I love this place! The food is fresh, flavorful, they have the menu options available, and they give generous portions. The workers are very friendly & the dining area is simple, clean & attractive. I'm so thankful Asheboro has a clean & delicious alternative to the horrific excuse for a Chipotle (that's located a few minutes down the road, in front of the mall... That place is going to make someone seriously ill!) Although the menus seem similar, there is no comparison in the quality, cleanliness & availability. Thankfully, Baja Bowls did it right!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t believe it took me this long to try Baja Bowls… because now I’m officially hooked. Lillian and I ate here last night and I’ve been craving it ever since — so much so that I’m already back again tonight. I had the tacos yesterday (phenomenal), and I’m here now to try the burrito because I honestly can’t stop thinking about the food. Lillian absolutely loved the carnitas nachos and cleaned her plate. Everything is sooooo good and worth every penny — honestly, they could charge twice as much and it would still be worth it. Fresh, flavorful, and done right. A true hidden gem in Asheboro. If you haven’t tried it yet, don’t make the same mistake I did by waiting so long. 🌮
