Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

First, the staff is so kind. Very warm, friendly, and attentive. They asked a lot of questions about food allergies and did not hesitate to recommend items based on my preferences. Next, the booth is extremely clean and they took precaution when handling food. I appreciated that a lot. Price: for the area and the fresh food category, you cannot go wrong with the price. The food is extremely fresh and I paid $16 for a very hearty and balanced bowl. Meal: I ordered the warm bowl and selected brown rice with chicken as my protein and a delicious ginger sesame sauce to top it off. This bowl was exactly what I needed. The array of vegetables included: carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and servings of celery. Now image those vegetables being seeped in a tangy sauce with a serving of warm brown rice and juicy grilled chicken strips in between. The flavors were complimenting each other so well but I tasted a consistent set of spices in each bite-which I loved. I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl, it was THAT good! Highly recommended if you’re in Western Market and hoping to find clean eats.

There are a lot of good options in this area, but every time I’m in the neighborhood I ALWAYS make a trip to Bandoola bowl. I can’t recommend this spot enough; the food is delicious, refreshing, and filling and the staff are always friendly and incredibly helpful. I usually get a tofu bowl with the spicy Bandoola sauce - the texture of all of the crunchy fresh veggies, crispy toppings, and springy tofu is a delight for the senses, and the super tart, spicy dressing is addicting. If you’ve ever enjoyed a Thai papaya salad, you’ll love this place!

Their bowls are always fantastic, but their customer service is the star of the show. They always greet me with a smile and provide great recommendations! Highly recommend for anyone who wants a quick bite in the area!
