Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This was our 2nd time here. The food is delicious and fresh and the atmosphere is comfortable and modern. We loved both visits. We met the owners, and they are very friendly and accommodating. This visit we shared an order of crab dumplings, so good! They seemed homemade and super tasty not greasy at all. I had the drunken noodles, light and just the right amount of spice. My husband had a curry dish and he couldn't stop himself from eating the entire dish. This spot is one of our favorites!

I got takeout of Tom Yum soup last week and although delicious I was really surprised by the small portion size for the price. I also had shrimp tempura and just was unimpressed with them. The tom yum was delicious so I decided to try them again today with Grand Pad Thai. Tasty yes but I think the noodles are somewhat overdone for what I expect. I also ordered mild thinking it would be essentially mild but I should’ve gone with no spice. I share my meal with my child and it was a little spicy and the overall size for a $20 plate was underwhelming. I don’t think I’ll return.

This experience was incredible. The owner Lee came out and chatted with us for a few minutes. She is so kind with a great smile. Our server quickly took our order and did so accurately. Our food came out fast and hot. We did family style and it was so good. The rice was cooked perfectly and the dishes were incredible, some of the best I have ever had! I will definitely be back to Bangkok Avenue.
