Wow! Don’t let this small restaurant fool you, we had some of the best Indian dishes in DFW here. We loved the paneer tikka, matar paneer, and paneer 65 — all perfectly spiced with good portion sizes. I would recommend them over the butter paneer and don’t recommend the veg biryani. They also have free chai which is a nice touch. The staff is also wonderful. We’ll definitely be back for more takeout!

I’m happy I found this hidden gem in the back corner of Basmati Grocers! The fried onions and chicken tikka masala were delicious. The masala was so tasty, with a perfect spice level (enough to make you want water, but not enough to make you sweat), and tender/marinated dark meat chicken. The rice was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, and the price was great (under $20). I also loved the warm free chai. The green dipping sauce that came with the onions was lovely, too.

Best Indian food around and generous portions of food. Key word - generous. So many places give you tiny amounts of curry and charge a crazy amount for it. One place in particular charged me $25 just for a tiny portion of curry. At Bismanti, I spent $20 and got: -a large freshly made mango lassi -2 samosa -1 tikka masala This is my new go-to spot for Indian food. And the owners are super friendly and family-oriented. Save money by avoiding DoorDash, UberEats fees, etc. Just call ahead and pick up a to go order or eat inside. Support this local business!
