Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

The food was delicious and well priced. Customer service was phenomenal. We got the pad thai, green curry (little spicy but good), and the curry that has mango. We also tried the complementary rice pudding and it was a perfect way to end the meal. Oh and their sweet tea, OMG! It was delicious.

We came very early, just after opening. The restaurant was empty and very clean. Waitress was very helpful and polite. She helped us pick out suitable dishes and suggested some options. We needing up picking Dr Pepper and Himalayan Milk Tea for drinks, Crab Angel and Garlic Edamame for appetizers and Mughlai with Butter Roti and Yakisoba for the main dishes. We later got satay chicken and Masaman to go. The atmosphere was very nice and paying for the order was very easy. The dessert was vey smooth and delicious.

I ordered from Bayleaf Stir & Curry House online for pickup and it was ready within 20 minutes of ordering. I was running errands at the nearby Cuban Grocery Co. and decided to finally give BSCH a try based on the 5 star reviews. It was easy to place my order online while still in my car. By the time I finished my shopping and loaded my groceries into the car, my food was almost ready. When I walked in on a late Tuesday morning the restaurant was empty. There's ample seating and the restaurant smelled and looked squeaky clean. An employee welcomed me warmly and asked if I wanted water while I waited for them to finish preparing my meal. She was extremely, and genuinely, kind and showed great hospitality, down to labeling the containers. When I got home all of the food was still hot, which is a big green flag for me. The garlic chicken was slightly dry, but packed with tons of garlicky flavor. The choice of chicken breast, while appealing to most, was disappointing, but I still enjoyed the dish. The rice was fluffy and garnished with peas, which shows intention. My Tom Yum soup was comforting and had just the right amount of shrimp as to not be too skimpy or too gluttonous. I do wish I had more veggies, but that's just a personal preference. I'll definitely return to Bayleaf and bring my family. I recommend it if not because you don't feel that level of hospitality these days.
