Diners overwhelmingly call out the signature dish as the must-order. The vibe reads as vegan restaurant — service is consistently described as warm and unhurried. Common gotcha: queues form at peak times — go early or late.

Excerpts

This was the fifth time my wife and I went to Bella Mia for dinner. It was a Friday and our 38th anniversary. When we walked to our table I noticed they remodeled the place. They modernized it with new drapes that separate the bar and the dining area as well as more modern framed art and photography. It all looked nice. We were promptly served. My wife had a margarita and I had a glass of merlot. Loved the merlot. We ordered an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms which were delicious. They give you six on a bed of spinach leaves. For the main dish my wife had the center cut pork chops and I had the 16 oz New York sirloin steak medium well. It was juicy and the flavor was exactly what I want in a steak. I can't speak enough about how good the steak is at Bella Mia. It is up there with the top three steaks I have ever had in my life. The place was not packed, but close, which created a great, lively atmosphere. There was also some live music with a singer playing electric guitar and a bass player. They played blues music and some old classics with a very original twist on them. It was a tad loud but not so much where it was intrusive on our conversation. Bill, the manager, asked us how we were doing and struck up a nice conversation with us, and ended up sitting down at our table for a while. It was cool. You just don't get that in a restaurant anymore. All in all, we had a great meal and a lovely time at Bella Mia as we always do. The atmosphere is classy yet casual, relaxed, and friendly. If you like real quality food and a friendly atmosphere come to Bella Mia. You won't regret it.

Atmosphere during holidays was gorgeous! Beautiful decorations. Everyone was very welcoming . Food was good. Soup was average, tasted like canned soup with fresh veggies thrown in to be honest so nothing special there. The bus boy brought the soup out on a tray and placed it near the table on a stand and we waited and waited for our server to bring them to the table but finally we just got up and got them ourselves. She was very apologetic and seemed swamped so it was understandable. But didn’t make a good first impression for our first visit. Loved the fresh crusty bread, olive oil and Parmesan on table. The desserts were pretty but tasted like average store bought cake.. in fact the red velvet tasted stale. Sams club desserts are better. For an upscale restaurant Charging $13 dollars a slice I expect a better slice of cake. Maybe get a pastry chef.. don’t offer 12 different options for dessert, just a couple delectable desserts made in house. Main course was really tasty and portions were great. With that said we would still return but skip the soups and desserts. Also please replace the old peeling toilet seat in the middle stall in the women’s room… it’s definitely not “upscale” if your charging $30 a plate but you can afford a $16 toilet seat from Menards. I was shocked to see that to be honest. Get those soups and desserts on point and I’d give 5 stars .. even with an old peeling toilet seat

Went for the first time Friday night. It was such a great dining experience. Our waiter was top notch I believe her name started with an M I do know she had a you are beautiful sticker on her book. She was absolutely amazing. Drinks filled before even empty. She was on top of everything we didn’t need to ask for one thing. It was great! Best service I have ever had. My family was soo happy!
